Father's Day 2013 in pictures
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
Father's Day started a little early for the hubs
Tailgating at DMB

First overnight away from Harper, up WAAAAY past our bedtime!
Don't mind Grizzly Adams...it's his "playoff beard"
Father's Day BBQ
Harper had a little something for Shaun to open that she had made at daycare. A poem that said something to the effect of "Your Father's Day gift is to spend the whole day with ME!!! Don't worry mommy packed the diaper bag and she said she'd keep herself busy...something about a PED-I-CURE..." gotta love a daycare with a sense of humor!
hanging out with Uncle Joe and Madison
Grandpa and his littles
(side note: this was the best of the 500 pics that my sister in law and I took, trying to get 3 kids under the age of 5 to look at the camera...and not cry...pick their nose or crawl away....OY!)
Ending the day like we always do...

10 Months
Loving her first trip to the ocean
Age: 10 Months
Weight: Another trip to the dr....(dear god is cold season over yet) 20.5 lbs
Length: Her 9 month pants are all now capris so I'm guessing she's growing
Favorite activity: ----------->
My friend got a bouncy house for her step daughters birthday. I'm nto sure who had more fun but we both laughed until we cried.
Favorite toy: Her new buddy bubba. He's soft, stuffed just right, and is most commonly found firmly in a headlock while she sleeps...
Favorite Book: My first 100 words has beaten out the little blue truck this month, but it was a close one. Scholastic had another warehouse sale last month which means there are alot of new books in the rotation :)
This month Harper discovered:
*Living with Grammy and Grandpa is awesome, there's always someone to play with.
* Walking is way better than crawling (not walking unassisted yet...we have bets on how much longer it will be...I guessed a month, Shaun guessed a week and a half...stay tuned)
* Green beans are delicious, pancakes are pretty good too. If given the choice she'd pick green beans... ???
* Saying Dada will actually make Daddy respond....some version of Mmmmamamama makes mommy respond....hmmmmmm

parade watching is exhausting
Yes redheads run in my family ;)
This month mommy learned: **I shouldn't have been so anxious for the little one to be crawling...HO-LY BUSY!!
**Babies will always have blow outs when least convenient
**Always pack double the diapers and clothing you think you'll need, otherwise you arrive home with a baby in a onesie wrapped in a blanket (learned due to above lesson...)
**Living with Grammy and Grandpa IS awesome because there is always someone for Harper to play with!!
Races: I believe I said I had no races planned until June 23? Famous last words ;) The Pine Grove montessori school was having a little 5k (directed by fellow trackie Alice) so Harper and I couldn't resist. With Auntie Lyss as our wingman we finished in a respectable 28 min and 3rd place in the stroller division. Next up is the Rail Trail 1/2 marathon (sans stroller!)

9 mo
AGE: 9 1/2 months (who cares about weeks anymore?)
Weight: Thanks to (yet another) cold she went from 19.2 to 18 lbs at her 9 mo appt
Length: honestly cannot remember at the moment. I have it written down in my planner (which is in my car) so…yeah that sums up my motivation at the moment.
Favorite toy: Zany zoo activity cube, great for practicing pulling herself up and standing over and over 50 million times!

Favorite activity: We officially have a crawler! So this months favorite activity is moving, crawling, pulling herself up, standing…really anything as long as it's go go go!
Favorite book: Easy--> Little Blue Truck. We have read it every night for about a month now..she laughs every time without fail, I barely have to look at the pages anymore to read it.
This month Harper discovered: grass is fun to play on...
Sunglasses are kind of cool…
and how to use a sippy cup!

Races: No races planned unil June 23, it will be my first half since Harper…should be interesting:)
Looking forward to: Friday…it's the end of an era...

and baby showers are kind of fun! Our friends are going through a baby boom so we had a few to attend this month. Looking forward to meeting all these future friends!!!!

8 mo
I dole out kisses to Jacques my penguin like nobody's business but will I kiss mommy? Nooooooo
Weight: No idea...she's no feather weight! I'd guess 18lbs?
Length: Shaun and I just measured her last night 27"
Favorite toy: Anything in the bathtub, and my phone if she can get her sticky paws on it
Favorite activity: SWIMMING! Seriously this girl is a fish! Every Saturday morning I pull out her adorable bathing suit and she starts talking (read screaming) because she knows where we're headed. She kicks, flails, allows me to dunk her without protest and squeals when we do the "motorboat" song. Worth every penny of the $64 class fee and early mornings at the Y :)
She and our neighbor's son are in the same swim class and to date they are the only two who haven't spent an entire class screaming (I probably just jinxed the last two classes... awesome).
Favorite book: Gram and Gramp bought her a book that quacks when you hit a button. She thinks it's hilarious...I'm thinking about hiding it
This month Harper discovered: that being mobile just might be more fun than staying put. I'd say she's days if not hours away from crawling, she just needs to figure out those legs of hers. Once she does we're in trouble.
Races: I have to be pretty choosey about races this year. Shaun works every Saturday, and since most races are NOT stroller friendly that eliminates about half of the races I love to do (buh-bye Beach2Beacon and Clam Festival) Luckily all my favorite half marathons are on Sundays :)
Looking forward to: Warmer weather please and thank you :)
